With regulations worldwide becoming more strict and increased criticism from the general public Vandemon came up with a variable sound exhaust system which at the press of a button allows the rider to choose from street mode which is quiet as stock to full-blown race mode for maximum power and sound. LISTEN to the attached Sound clip, where at the 14-second mark the exhaust switches from race mode to quiet Stealth mode and back to race mode.

This exhaust also does away with the heavy OEM catalytic converter, steel muffler and OEM steel headers, which greatly improves stopping distance changes in direction acceleration from less mass.  

This stunning exhaust system uses high lustre Polished Titanium headers that after only one ride will colour up like only titanium can taking your Triumph Speedtriple to a level no other Triumph owner can compare when it comes to sound, appearance and performance.    

How Does It work?  

The system consists of two mufflers and a purpose-made titanium valve that, when closed, directs all exhaust first through the baffled Pre-muffler which looks like a catalytic converter (that is no longer used) seen under the motorcycle and then lastly exits through the larger straight-through unrestricted LH muffler to give an exhaust tone as quiet as the OEM mufflers. When the valve is switched to the open position, via the handlebar-mounted switch the exhaust will then exit via the path of least resistance which is the large LH muffler that has no restriction to gas flow, releasing that glorious Triumph triple sound and delivering maximum performance. 

The servo motor that drives the valve is a purpose-made quality German-made BMW component that is weatherproof and insulated from heat. 

• When tuning the Stealth exhaust the technician will customise the tune to the valve open (loud mode). The quiet mode should only be used when in suburbia and city limits when the engine is operated at lower engine speeds as the Stealth mode is restrictive and will create excessive exhaust back pressure if the engine is raced. 

   The sole purpose of this exhaust is for the rider to be able to quieten the exhaust so as not to cause a nuisance to the general public and not be noticed when required as well as have the luxury of a louder and more powerful exhaust when out on the open roads.

Appearance:

The surface finish is of the Stealth portion and the muffler is natural brushed titanium while the headers are highly polished Titanium for stunning looks which won't stain, corrode or need polishing as titanium has a very high acid and salt resistance and dissipates heat twice as fast as steel.
