Our Titanium headers replace the heavy and restrictive catalytic converter with a resonator in its place that dampens the anoying high frequency and brings out the deep base tone, while still being loud more noticable when using a free flowing after market muffler.
The use of the latest manufacturing techniques and exotic materials, such as Titanium, makes for a significantly lighter exhaust system with less heat retention than the OEM exhaust, as a result of the catalytic converters deletion which noticably improves comfort levels during the summer months.
Weld quality is second to none, with ultrasonically perfect welds that won't fatigue crack. In addition, each welded joint is as strong as the pipe it joins, which is essential considering the challenging conditions, bumps vibration adventure models must withstand for those asking the most from their machine.
APPEARANCE
Surface finish is a natural brushed finish that, when heated, changes to an iridescent blue and red as well as having an advantage over stainless steel in that Titanium won't stain, corrode or ever need polishing due to Titanium's high acid and salt resistance which also dissipates heat twice as fast as steel, further safeguarding against extended heat soak into body panels when stationary.
MANUFACTURING
We at Vandemon use a unique welding process that completely penetrates and makes for an ultrasonically perfect connection with a beautiful and consistent overlapping fishbone appearance.
The OEM KTM muffler will mount and attach to our titanium headers as well as any after market muffler slip-on that is OEM header compatiable.
