With noise emission regulations becoming stricter worldwide and facing increased criticism from the public, Vandemon developed Titanium Slip-On mufflers & link pipes to replace the heavy steel OEM exhaust.
Apart from a significant weight saving, this exhaust is unique in that the operator can choose from two exhaust tones, Quiet or Loud, at the press of a button on the handlebars It also enhances HP and torque significantly without the need for a tune and even more so if tuning is sort as this exhaust will offer no limitations to what a tuner can arrive at.
-
How Does It work?
The exhaust system consists of two mufflers. One is a quieter top muffler that receives all exhaust gas when the valve is closed. When the valve is opened using a handlebar-mounted switch, the exhaust gas will flow through the lower straight-through unrestricted muffler, creating a very loud, deep tone. For those looking to reduce the sound slightly, a removable baffle is provided. The electric motor that operates the exhaust valve is a weatherproof servo made by BMW, and it comes with a wiring harness and a switch that draws power from a 12-volt ignition live supply.
-
When tuning the Stealth exhaust, the technician will customise the tune to the valve open (loud mode).
-
Appearance:
The surface finish is natural brushed titanium which won't stain, corrode or need polishing as Titanium has a very high acid/ salt resistance and dissipates heat twice as fast as steel for less heat soak and retention.
- Material: Ti1 Titanium Mufflers and Link pipes
- Surface finish: natural brushed
- Weight: 4.9kg
- Production years: 2021-2023
- Tuning not required (Optional)
- Power: +9%
- Not Euro 4 or Euro 5 compliant
All mounting hardware supplied
Why buy a titanium exhaust? Due to its strength, weight, and anti-corrosion quality, Titanium is found in the most demanding applications on Aircraft airframes, jet engine compressor blades and ducting, deep-sea saltwater vessels, steam turbine blades, rocket motor cases, and F1 and MotoGP
Other advantages of Titanium:
- Very light, Increased power to weight ratio
- Won't corrode or discolour
- Never need polishing like stainless steel & aluminium
- Dissipate heat twice as fast as Stainless Steel
IMPORTANT! Vandemon Exhaust systems are designed for performance and modest sound improvements. We at Vandemon do not try to meet noise emission standards because the end results would be no different from what your OEM exhaust can already achieve. Check with your country's governing body regarding noise emission standards rules and regulations.
